Bebidas Príncipe

Bebidas Príncipe reduces costs and speeds up processes with Sofit's Saas solutions.

Belonging to the MME Group, the distributor of beverage Príncipe operates throughout the region of Joinville (SC) distributing beers, soft drinks, isotonic drinks and other products of AmBev. For nearly three years the company acquired Sofit4Transport solution, developed by Sofit, software development company specializing in SaaS - software as a service, aiming to optimize work and reduce operational costs.

With a fleet of around 250 vehicles including trucks, cars, motorcycles and stacking machines, the company needed a solution capable of integrating data besides controlling fleet maintenance and fuel usage. With the acquisition of Sofit4Transport, besides fleet management, the software also assumed the role of gathering and sharing data for all departments.

Julian Lopes, operations coordination of Bebidas Príncipe said that the biggest advantage of Sofit4Transport is the possibility of customization and agility that the tool provided to internal processes. In order to improve supply control, the company used the tool's flexibility that allowed it to be customized in order to cross-reference all data to create fuel consumption targets for each vehicle, and thus, reducing costs. "We determined rules to create an average consumption from the data gathered on real spending, savings target, and the waste or gain of each vehicle. And the system shows us in numbers or percentage values whether the goals are being met or not," he explains.

The coordinator told us that prior to implementation the information was decentralized, each department generated and filed its own documents in a disorderly manner, and the information was not centralized and could not be taken as basis for decision making. "Often the information diverged, it took over a month to be updated and data was lost. With the information placed online and secure data we were able to review all the company's organization and create new action plans to reduce costs and speed up processes".

In addition to fleet management, the software is used throughout the company as a data manager, responsible for creating reports, tracking finances, products and customers. "Even the safety equipment, uniforms and employees' shoes are controlled by software," said Lopes.

For the next few months the company plans to expand the software use, especially for tires and reception control. "We are working on time mediation within all our internal processes in order to come up with solutions that can further speed up our operations and reduce the loading and departure times of our trucks," he concludes
